Days of the Artichokes of Cambrils
In Cambrils we bid farewell to the winter and welcome you to the spring with a new edition of “Encarxofa’t a Cambrils.” In this fifth edition, visitors will be able to taste more than 30 special menus prepared for the occasion where the artichoke will be the protagonist.
The diner guests can choose from a wide range of gastronomic proposals, from the most traditional to the most avant-garde, based on this product so rooted in the territory. The days of the artichoke will be farewell this Sunday, with a magnificent tasting of “sartenes encarxofades”, an event organized with the collaboration of the Cooperativa Agrícola de Cambrils.
For 16 days, from the 10th to the 26th of March you can enjoy magnificent dishes made with this typical vegetable of the Cambrils fields. The artichoke in particular of the variety Tudela, is one of the best valued products in Mediterranean cuisine, thanks to its great flavor and versatility.
This type of vegetable is often used by well-known and not-so-known chefs, since it fits perfectly with many seafood specialties, and can be eaten in many ways: raw, fried, cooked, baked, steamed, etc.
