The calçotada is a typical gastronomic feast of Catalunya. It is a meal to enjoy with family and friends where you are sure you are going to laugh a lot and you’ll get your hands, face and shirt dirty… well, the latter depends on you, we’ll leave a special bib for calçotadas which is made bulletproof and calçots.

The calçots are a variety of onions that are used directly on flames branches and eaten by hand accompanied with a sauce similar to the romesco. In the Restaurant Fonda El Camí Cambrils we prepare calçots in our farmhouse, which is less than 500 meters from the hotel, at nearly the speed of light, we bring the restaurant to finish the presentation in a clay tile. We serve a ration of 15 calçots about to accompany calçots a homemade sauce that is certainly spectacular.

From here, usually, a calçotada is often accompanied by meat as a main course, but in our inn we can accompany your calçots with any dish from our menu. For example, it is common for families to do exclusively a grilled meat with  calçotada upon reservation or simply to ask us a portion of calçots to share and then continue with the daily menu.
